Ben is a newly-engaged, high-spirited uncle to two nephews, aged 7 and 10, who keep him on his toes with their boundless energy. Living in the city of Toronto, Ben has a penchant for exploring the diverse array of restaurants the city has to offer. Ben has been a Person with Lived Experience (PWLE) since the age of 21, which has profoundly influenced his work as a digital health researcher in cardiology in University Health Network. Throughout his PhD training and subsequent professional work, Ben has recognized the crucial role that patient voices and engagement play in research. With a genuine dedication and enthusiasm in bringing digital health to care, Ben is committed to ensuring that these voices are not merely included but are fundamental in shaping the GI research.
